HydroCell V1.0
HydroCell V1.0 is a compact, transparent alkaline electrolyzer with CC/CV control, delivering on-demand hydrogen and oxygen for labs, demos, and prototyping
HydroCell V1.0 is a bench-top hydrogen generator built around a clear electrolysis cell and a separate power unit with constant-current/constant-voltage control. Using a small charge of KOH electrolyte, nickel electrodes, and detachable Luer-lock gas outlets, it produces H₂ and O₂ on demand at atmospheric pressure for research and teaching. The front panel includes banana outputs, an output enable switch, a dual-color CC/CV indicator (green/red), a combined volt/ammeter display, and independent knobs for current and voltage. Designed for safe experimentation, HydroCell emphasizes current-based control of gas rate, easy cleaning, and standard medical-grade tubing interfaces—ideal for method development, student labs, and quick electrochemistry trials.

HydroCell V1.0 supports laboratory demonstrations of electrolysis, catalyst/electrode screening (HER/OER), flow and separation experiments, gas sensor calibration with low H₂ flows, and hydrogen handling training. It’s a practical alternative to cylinders for short, small-volume runs in universities, R&D labs, and maker/test benches; use it to study current density, electrode materials, separators, and basic green-hydrogen concepts.
